Dear Mr. Benney,
The East Bay Regional Park District (Park District) has received and reviewed your Special Event Permit.
The Park District is denying this permit because the proposed event, ‘’A Bedrock Mortar Walk at Morgan Territory,’’ would publicly disseminate the location and details about Native American resources.
The location and details about Native American resources are treated as confidential by the Park District. The Park District has the authority to exclude this knowledge pursuant to the Public Records Act,
And many other Codes, Regulations, Acts and Sections, I might add.
As a private citizen I do not have to exclude this knowledge and am glad to have introduced the celebration and awareness of these sites to hundreds of interested people from the general public.
