Brushy Peak Second Terrace

Brushy Peak Second Terrace

Livermore
20 bedrock mortars; housepits.
Elevation 880 ft.

Brushy Peak is a great place to spend a day exploring as long as it is not too hot!

Start at the first terrace, work you way up to the second, then the third, and more.

Relatively easy hiking. Unique Indian sites all over the place.

This was just one of the homes of the Ssaoum Tribe, neighbors of the Volvon,
who also controlled the major Altamount Pass trading grounds.

# 5 and # 7 are down by the reservoir

# 31 and # 22 are part of the First Terrace village site

You could say the whole side of the Hill is one village or come to your own understanding of what was going on here.
